Eastern Health's Psychiatric Triage Service is the initial point of contact for information, assessment, and referral for serious and urgent mental health concerns, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for those in Melbourne's Eastern Health district.
This Triage and Emergency Department Response Team provides a comprehensive community based assessment and treatment service to people between the ages of 16 –64 years who are in psychiatric crisis. They may be in need of a hospital admission or treatment in the community as an alternative to admission.
Eligibility Criteria
The service is available for anyone that lives within the geographical catchment of the Central and Outer East Mental Health Service Area, which includes the areas of Manningham, Boroondara, Monash, Waverly, Box Hill, Whitehorse, Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges.

In the alphabet listed please choose the letter corresponding to the first letter in your suburb or town. This will take you to a list of suburbs/towns starting with this letter. Then select from child and adolescent services (0 - 18 years), adult services (16 - 64 years), aged services (65 plus years) and disability services in your suburb/town. Once you have selected this, you will be provided with the psychiatric triage number for your location.
