St Vincent's Psychiatric Triage Service is the initial point of contact for access to the highly specialised mental health services in Melbourne's Inner East.
The triage service is available 24-hours, 7-days a week, for anyone that has serious concerns about changes in their mood, ideas, or behaviour of either someone they care about or themselves.
The assessment team will direct individuals to the most appropriate mental health services depending on their needs such as adult, youth, or aged mental health services.
Eligibility Criteria
The service is for anyone that lives within Melbourne's Inner East health district which includes the areas of Yarra and Boroondara.
To ensure your suburb is in the correct catchment for St Vincent's Health, please visit the Victorian Government website Find a Mental Health Service and search via your suburb http://www3.health.vic.gov.au/... In the alphabet listed please choose the letter corresponding to the first letter in your suburb or town. This will take you to a list of suburbs/towns starting with this letter. Then select from child and adolescent services (0 - 18 years), adult services (16 - 64 years), aged services (65 plus years) and disability services in your suburb/town. Once you have selected this, you will be provided with the psychiatric triage number for your location.
